International Coastal Cleanup

Calling all nature stewards! Volunteers needed! BIPS is honored to co-host the International Coastal Cleanup with Grande Escapes and in partnership with Keep Lee County Beautiful, supported by Ocean Conservancy and Florida Fish & Wildlife to remove debris along our shoreline. Our ecosystem is negatively impacted by debris and trash, including fishing line, nets, and six-pack rings. Fish, birds and turtles mistake trash like styrofoam, plastics, and cigarette butts for food, which can be fatal. In the last five years, more than 9,000 volunteers have removed over 20,000 pounds of trash from Lee County waterways!
